Thanks to an excellent 40 cm snowfall 2 days ago, we were able to trudge through knee deep snow on the golf
course. Then the real adventure began. We went off trail up a magnificently outstanding gully, going over logs,
under logs, up and down steep slopes. There were some grumbles, but I am sure all participants will lovingly remember this hike!!
We covered only 4k in 2.5 hours with a 15 minute snack break.

DISTANCE: 4 km

PACE: 2 km/h

DIFFICULTY: D3

ICERS: we may need icers for this hike. Be prepared. You must keep icers in your pack during the winter months.

Now that the Don Valley golf course is closed for the season we will walk through it on our way to Earl Bales Park
There may be some icy and muddy sections
There is a very nice 1 km stretch of path right beside a branch of the Don River
