EVENT DETAILS
Today's urban hike is a brand new route
that
will start at Pape Station and end at
Broadview
Station.
Interesting spots include
- 'Withrow Park'
- 'Riverdale Park East'.
- 'Don Valley River Park
Gargoyles'
- 'Todmorden Mills'
- 'Chester Hill Lookout'
This hike will mainly be on park paths
and
neighborhoods sidewalks with one steep dirt hill,
which could be covered in snow and ice.
There's maybe two hills on this hike.
We'll stop in Riverdale Park about 45
minutes
into the hike for a washroom stop.
We'll aim for a pace of 4-5 km/h
I usually carry a pair of icers with me from
the first snowfall of the year until the end of
April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack
to deal with any potential ice. You can find
the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'. |
