EVENT DETAILS

So, the random hike picker has picked this northern urban hike for your evening.

This hike will go from Finch West Station to Sheppard-Yonge Subway Station for an 11 KM route.
Some interesting spots include

  • 'Finch Hydro Corridor Trail'.
  • ' The Neighbourhood of Bathurst Manor'.
  • 'Earl Bales Park'.
  • 'Gwendo len Park'.
  • This hike will be on a combination of paved park paths, major road sidewalks, and single track dirt trails.

There's probably about 3 or 4 challenging climbs, which might be slippery should it be muddy.

Sadly, there won't be any washrooms on this route.

    We'll aim for a pace of 4.5-5.5 km/h.

    Required Items to Bring:
  • Hiking boots or hiking shoes
  • Water 1-2 L and snacks

Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • A smile
  • First Aid Kit
  • Whistle
  • $20 for your 2022 TOC Badge

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

We'll meet at the Finch West Subway Station, which is located on line 1, two stops north of Sheppard West and & 4 stations south of Vaughan Metropolitan Centre at the Keele Street EAST EXIT.
This station is a bit difficult to navigate. If you exit the subway platform using the north stairs/escalator, you'll find the correct KEELE EAST EXIT. If you don't know where the north stars/escalator are, just follow the direction of the northbound train.
If you come out of the subway and see a building across the street which looks like a barcode, then you are on the wrong side.

Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt,

For those of you driving, the entrance is located on the east side of Keele Street, one traffic light north of Finch. In terms of parking, there is a TTC lot located just north of the station.
