Waterdown Falls and Apple/Pear Fritters (13km, 4-4.5 km/hr) (11/17/2019)

Itinerary:

The terrain is hilly with some rocky sections. Length of hike is about 13 km, pace is 4-4.5 km/hr. This hike is suitable for intermediate hikers and fit beginners that like to pick up the pace a bit.

Our hike will take us through a series of loops along the rushing water of Grindstone Creek, forested slopes, mature woodlots, the Falls in Waterdown, and the Upper Grindstone Side Trail.

After the hike, a stop at the nearby Copper Kettle Cafe for some Apple/Pear fritters and coffee!

Maximum group size is set to 1 so that everyone starts on the wait list, passengers will be added as drivers become available. Members willing to drive and members with favourable attendance records may get first priority on the wait list.

  • Change of footware for after the hike
