Itinerary:

It’s the 20 smackers for 2020 event! This only happens once in our lifetime!

That’s right, everyone, the TOC 2020 badges are here! And to celebrate this epic event, you are invited to join us in the newly renovated Chalker’s Pub* for our annual 20 Smackers night. You would think Chalker's did this just for us! We’ll be one of the very first groups to gather in their shiny new digs, same great location.

  • Drop in anytime from 7 PM.
  • Meet other members and volunteers, including executives in this social setting. It's your chance to ask questions, make event suggestions... and if you’ve ever been curious, find out what's involved in being a volunteer!
  • Pool tables will be available for our group for a couple of hours
  • Drop your 20 smackers and get your own limited edition 2020 badge! This part is voluntary (so is playing pool, actually.) We think it’s a win-win for you and the club because…

The TOC runs on donations (not membership fees)

The Club only exists because of donations, so everyone’s a winner when the club is up and running. Every toonie we get goes directly back into the club, to pay for services like maintaining the website, bank fees and paying for space and food at the annual picnic and social events. Not a single penny of it goes to salary/bonuses or subsidizing volunteers’ attendance at events. We are all unpaid volunteers, including the Executive committee.

The badge is your Proof Of Donations for the full year

By now you’ve probably noticed that we suggest a voluntary donation of $2 per event. But maybe you didn’t realize that once you’ve hit 20 bucks in a single year, you can merrily declare that you’ve maxed out. Which is great (if you really want to keep tabs on how many toonies you donated that year), but it doesn’t get you a coveted badge! Intrigued? Attend this event, donate your 20 smackeroos in exchange for one limited edition badge, and voila! - you are done with worrying about donations for all of 2020.
You see, badge in hand, you just flash it all detective-style with a wink 😉 and a nod at donation time (and once in a while breathe a sigh of relief when you realize you didn’t happen to have any change on you that day)
Best yet! These badges are quality stuff, add it to your collection, or sew it onto your jacket or backpack!
One last fun fact: This will be the 12th annual 20 smackers event, and we’ve never raised the price of the badges in all that time. You really can’t ask for a better deal than that!

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Please: You are responsible for your own food and drink purchases. As the event is being held in a licensed venue, we ask that you be responsible and not drink and drive.
