Itinerary:

We’ll take a scenic route down to Kew- Balmy beach, follow the waterfront trail/boardwalk for about a kilometre, then wind our way back to our starting point via paved trails and sidewalks. The 7 km loop, encompassing mostly residential areas, should take approximately 1.5 hours to complete.

There will be a short bathroom break at Kew Gardens (about 45 minutes into the hike) and at least two additional water breaks along the way.

Note: The last two kilometres are mostly uphill and include some steep stairs. We will walk at a leisurely pace.

The hike will start and end at the Ted Reeve arena at the northeast corner of Main and Gerrard – approximately 5 minutes south of Main Street station (Line 2) and the Danforth GO. The location is also accessible by bus (64) and streetcar (506).
