About 1 hour of the hike will be on big boulders with sharp edges and big gaps between the boulders.
make sure you have good hiking footwear with good gripping soles
you will get sand in your shoes
if there are waves, your feet might get wet.
there is no tree cover on the beach so sun glasses + sunblock + sun hat is a GREAT idea

WASHROOMS?: yes, 1,000's of trees and bushes on the beach

The hike:
If you like the beach, waves and adventure, you will love this hike!
I thought I had hiked most of the beach / waterfront from Oakville in the west to Darling Provincial Park in the east.
I found a great new stretch of beach with beautiful sand in Scarborough so I hiked a bit of it yesterday after my urban hike.
It is not widely known about outside of the local residents, so we probably won't see a lot of people
We will start near the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant and go east from there passing Pagan Point and Secret Beach.
The R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant and the surrounding grounds are quite spectacular in their own right
I am not sure how far we can go before the shoreline becomes impassable, but probably several km.
We will then turn around and walk back, heading to Kew Beach and Woodbine Beach.
Depending on the time, we will walk several more km on those beaches.

We will have lunch somewhere on the beach.
