CHALLENGE! Don Valley Biking Trails 19 km (5/12/2018)

DISTANCE: 19 km

PACE: between 5 - 10 km/h (expect "some" jogging!)

DIFFICULTY: D4+ (speed! and terrain!)

We will be speed hiking between Lawrence Station and Rosedale Station for about 19 km, 13 of those km on very challenging mountain biking trails.

Leave your camera at home, we will not be stopping for pics.

This is one of the most difficult urban hikes in the city in terms of terrain and speed. PLEASE TAKE THIS HIKE SERIOUSLY!!!

NOTE: This is a D4 hike bordering on D5, meaning it will be much faster and much tougher than the average urban hike.
Expect to be traveling 5 - 10 km/h on most portions of this hike.
ADVANCED and STRONG INTERMEDIATE HIKERS ONLY!!

Maximum hikers: about 8

For this event, everyone will start on the waiting list. To get on the event from the waiting list, please type "I am ready for the challenge" in the NOTES section when signing up, so that I know that you understand what the event is about. If you do not follow these instructions, you will not be added to the event, but will be removed from the waiting list without any further warning or explanation.

We will have a 7 minute snack break about 1/2 way, and a quick w/c break at the Evergreen BW

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

We'll meet on the South-East corner of Yonge St and Lawrence Ave, in front of the 'Locke' branch of the Toronto Public Library across the street from the Lawrence Subway Station Entrance.

Lawrence Subway Station is located on the Yonge Subway Line, two stops south of Sheppard and 6 Stations north of Bloor.

If you want to cancel due to bad weather, you must decide and
remove yourself before the registration cut off.
