Itinerary:
Let's get the weekend started with a short brisk walk along the Humber River and through High Park. The aim will be to complete the 7.5km route in an hour and fifteen minutes, so we will be moving quickly! If you ever wondered what 6km/h pace is like, but didn't want to sign up for a 12+km fast hike for fear of being left behind, here's your chance to see what it is like over a relatively short distance.

We will meet at Old Mill Station and follow this route:
- south along the Humber River trail
- cross the Humber Bay Bridge and head east along the lake
- north along the western trails of High Park and some side streets to Runnymede Station

Please ensure you will be able to maintain a fast walking pace for just over an hour over some uneven terrain. The only break we might take is waiting for traffic lights. We won't be waiting for stragglers! Even though this is rated D3 don't take it lightly.

While this is intended to be a fast hike, we will slow down if there are any icy or slippery sections. Please have traction devices with you in case we encounter any lengthy parts of the trail with ice.

Did I mention we will be walking fast?

Route Rundown:
Distance: About 7.5km
Pace: About 6 km/h (FAST!)
Expected Time: Just over an hour
Trails: Mostly paved trails with some well established dirt trails
Terrain: Stairs at the beginning, some rolling sections throughout, and a large set of stairs at the end.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 10:30am. I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike. This hike will go forward rain or shine. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours prior may result in postponement or cancellation.
