Scotsdale Farm and Silver Creek 24 km (9/23/2017)

Itinerary:

Let's hike the trails around Scotsdale Farm and Silver Creek Conservation Area. We will be on the Bruce Trail plus some side trails in the area. There will be some hills.

We'll stop for a lunch break along the trail, maybe by a river or creek.

DISTANCE: 24 km

PACE: 5.5 km/h a lively pace

DIFFICULTY: D4 - some hills and rocky sections with tricky footing

MAX hikers: about 12 (+ or -)
I set the Maximum Group Size to 1 so everyone will first go on the waiting list.
If you have experience hiking my challenging hikes I can add you to the event.
If you have not, then please read the bold red text below.


For advanced hikers, or intermediate hikers who want to challenge themselves! We will be hiking at a lively pace

This hike is not for beginners, or for hikers who are not in good physical shape. Everyone will be expected to keep up with the group.

If you have not hiked with me previously, send me an email describing recent experience you have hiking 20 km or more at a quick pace on hilly forest terrain.
I need to receive your email before I can consider adding you to this event.



Passengers will be added as additional drivers become available.

Members on the waiting list who are willing to drive may get first priority.
Alternatively, you can drive and meet us at the hike starting location.

DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE # OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

Carpooling? Please arrive before the departure time. If you are late, you will miss the carpool, and the hike.

If you choose to meet at the hike start, please arrive before the start time, we will not wait for late comers.

If you choose to meet at the hike start, meet us in the parking lot at the end of the laneway which runs north off Trafalgar.
