Itinerary:
It's been far too long since I led a Hike For A Slice event, and since I have some new places I want to check it out, let's go for a hike and grab a slice!

We will meet at Eglinton West Station and follow this route:
- West along the York Beltline trail
- South through Prospect Cemetary
- Meander southeast through a series of (mostly) connected parkettes
- South along neighbourhood streets to Bloor & Dovercourt
- Head to a nearby pizza joint for a slice (if you wish)

Route Rundown:
Distance: 9.5km
Pace: Between 4.5 - 5.0 km/h
Expected Time: 2 - 2.5 hours + pizza time
Trails: Paved trails and sidewalks
Terrain: Flat for the most part with one hill to climb.

After the hike I will take anyone interested to a nearby pizza joint for a slice, but this part of the event is optional. This place has a few slices to choose from including a few vegetarian options.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 10:30am. I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike. This hike will go forward rain or shine. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours prior may result in postponement or cancellation.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a scheduled subway closure between St. George and Broadview Stations on the Bloor-Danforth Subway (also known as Line 2). If you need to traverse this section of the subway be sure to give yourself extra time. Shuttle buses are much slower than subway trains.
