PACE: 5.5 km/h a lively pace!! expect a workout

DIFFICULTY: D4 There are many HILLS on this hike

For advanced hikers, or intermediate hikers who want to challenge themselves! We will be hiking at a lively pace. Expect a workout!

This hike is not for beginners, or for hikers who are not in good physical shape. Everyone will be expected to keep up with the group.

If you are new to the TOC, or your TOC hike history does not include recent hikes that suggest this hike is appropriate for you, send me an email describing recent experience you have hiking 20 km or more at a quick pace on hilly forest terrain.

MAX hikers: about 12 (+ or -)
I set the Maximum Group Size to 4, because I can take 3 passengers, but this event can accommodate about 12 hikers.

Members on the waiting list who are willing to drive may get first priority.
Passengers will be added as drivers become available.

Alternatively, you can meet us at the hike trail head.

The Seaton Trail is a great hike that is not a long drive from the city. I have hiked on it over 30 times.
This is a "there and back" hike on a dirt path through the forest along West Duffins Creek.
There will be many hills to climb,
a river to ford!! (we'll hop from boulder to boulder)
a few sections may be muddy and there are rocks and roots on the trail,
good hiking boots/hiking shoes are highly recommended.

Expect the high possibility of seeing geese or trout (in the sky and river, respectively).

We'll stop for a lunch break on the trail

If you cannot hike the entire distance at this pace, please do not sign up for this hike.
