Itinerary: | |||||||
Starting in Elora, we will ride in an easterly direction along a well-maintained railtrail as far as the village of Hillsburgh (39 kms). Upon our arrival in Hillsburgh, we will stop for some lunch. We will then ride back along the same railtrail to Elora, our point of origin. The total length of the ride will be about 78 km. If you register for this event, please ensure that you are capable of completing a 78km ride, and that you can maintain a speed of at least 15 km per hour. Each participant must wear a bike helmet, and must carry a spare tire tube and tire repair kit. If you do not have these things, you should purchase them at a local bike store. Each participant should also ensure that his/her bike has recently been tuned up. If your bike needs servicing, have it serviced before the date of the ride. Once we are back in Elora, we will end the day with a drink in the Old Mill Pub, a cozy place which has great views overlooking the Grand River. | |||||||
