Itinerary:

The idea of Hike For A Pint originally came from browsing the Calgary Outdoor Club's website where someone coordinated an event along the lines of 'Walk to B & B' (which apparently means Blues and Beer), where they went for a short 3 km walk to a Blues Bar.

I saw that and was like, oh that's an awesome idea, let's just make it a longer hike, somewhere between 9-13 km and go to a different bar each week.

So, on January 14, 2011 I coordinated my first hike for a pint. On June 7th, 2015 it will be my 100th hike for a pint that I've coordinated.

You must be 19 or older to sign up for this hike.

  1. This hike will start from Eglinton West Subway Station to a pub around Queen and Dufferin

The total distance of this hike will be about 12.5 km and we'll be hiking as a group and aiming for a pace of 4.5-5.0 km/h.

Anyone who signs up for this hike, must be willing to come and socialize at the pub primarily:

  • 1. Because, you could be taking a spot away from someone on the wait list who otherwise wanted to attend.
  • 2. Also because I have a reservation and they are expecting a certain amount of people.

Otherwise, come out and have fun

  • Required Items to Bring:
  • Good footwear
  • Water 1-2 L and snacks
