Itinerary:

So hike for a pint again. For my regulars, looking at the map, you can probably tell which pub I'm going to.

For those of you who haven't been on my hike to this pub, you are in for a treat. Yes, this pub may only really has a selection of 10 beers or so on tap, but it has some fantastic food choices. It has been featured as a Summerlicious restaurant in the past and one I really enjoy.

However, you've got to get there first.

This hike will be 11.5 KM long and we'll be aiming for a pace of 4.5-5.0 km/h.

The hike will start at Lawrence Station and will end at the pub, which is within walking distance of Eglinton Station.

In terms of terrain, about half of this hike will be on cleaned sidewalks or streets, however some of it will be on single track trails, which could be covered in ice and snow.

As usual, I'm also thrown about 2 or 3 hills (depending on what you consider a hill) on this event to make you work for it. One of the hills, will be on gravel and quite steep, this is your warning.

Anyone who signs up for this hike, must be willing to come and socialize at the pub primarily:

  • 1. Because, you could be taking a spot away from someone on the wait list who otherwise wanted to attend.
  • 2. Also because I have a reservation and they are expecting a certain amount of people.

Otherwise, I hope you come and have fun.

  • Required Items to Bring:
  • Good footwear - I usually say hiking boots or shoes are a good idea
  • Water 1-2 L and snacks
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • A smile.
  • Icers, otherwise known as traction devices

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

We'll meet on the South-East corner of Yonge St and Lawrence Ave, near the 'Locke' branch of the Toronto Public Library across the street from the Lawrence Subway Station Entrance.

Lawrence Subway Station is located on the Yonge Subway Line, two stops south of Sheppard and 6 Stations north of Bloor.

Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt, possibly drinking a coffee.
