Hike for a Pint: Greenwood To Union (9 km) (1/16/2015)

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.

You are STRONGLY encouraged to read this page in its entirety before signing up. If you'd like to attend, we ask that you abide by our rules and procedures as a time/cost saving process (with an end result of keeping membership free and lower cost events).

Itinerary:

Easy urban hike from the east end right downtown to enjoy a lovely beverage (if you want) on a Friday night. We'll be walking at moderate pace between 4.5 - 5 km/hr.

Anyone who signs up for this hike must be willing to come and socialize at the pub or else you will be taking a spot from someone else.
This is usually a popular event, so if you cancel after the registration cut off AND there is a wait list you will receive a No Show. This will be strictly enforced and please note the cut off time is the morning of January 15th.

  1. Head west on side streets past the TTC Greenwood Yard
  2. Cut through Withrow Park
  3. Cut through Riverdale Park East
  4. South along the Lower Don Recreation Trail.
  5. West through Distillery District
  6. Continue through The Esplanade
  7. End at pub near Union subway station

Come prepared with warm layers and good footwear / traction devices.

Please arrive on time as I will be leaving at EXACTLY 7:05 PM.
