Itinerary:

The terrain is hilly and challenging. Length of hike is about 25 km, pace 5 km/h. Map 20

This hike is suitable for strong intermediate or advanced hikers. It is not suitable for beginners. Hikers coming on this event are required to have D5 level hiking experience and must be able to maintain a continuous pace of 5 km/h on challenging terrain.

A combination loop and "there and back" hike, we will be following the the Main Trail, the Boyne Valley Side Trail and a number of other side trails in Walkers Woods and Mulmur Hills. We'll pass through steep ravines, hardwood forests, open meadows, and lots of hills.

After the hike, we'll stop for refreshments in Primrose.

Those who are willing to drive, regular D5 hikers and those with decent attendance records will have priority on the wait list.

Drivers will be added first, passengers as spots become available.

  • 2 litres water
  • Change of footwear for after the hike

Roadside Parking - km 15.2 at Highway 89 and Centre Rd, north side of Hwy 89 on the Centre Rd allowance: Please do not block the gate into the cell tower. (5 cars)
