Hike to watch another Oscar contender (~7 km) (9/28/2014)

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the TOC.

Itinerary:

Revue Cinema is one of the oldest still working movie theatres in the city. Let's go watch a film that might be up for several Academy Awards next year. Boyhood is a movie from director Richard Linklater that was filmed over 12 years featuring a young boy from age 6 to 18.

Tickets are $11.

Our route through High Park will be mainly on the nature trails so we will be going up and down small hills.

Route:

  • Start at Runneymede Station
  • Take probably the longest way possible through High Park to Howard Park Streetcar Stop
  • Head over to the Revue Cinema
  • After the movie, walk up to Dundas West Station.

We will arrive thirty minutes before the start time. If you are coming on this hike, it is assumed that you will be coming to the movie. Please don't sign up for this hike if you don't plan on coming to the movie.

  • Good Footwear - running shoes should be okay.

    This hike will go forward rain or shine.

    Please arrive on time as I will be leaving at 1:00 PM and turning off my cellphone once we begin.
