Itinerary:
Join us on our quest to find the derelict Orchards and wild apple trees near the Blue Mountains. Aside from the high elevation (being the highest point on the Bruce Trail) giving us beautiful views, we'll probably be able to enjoy some wild apples that should be ripe around this time of year. There are many apple trees easily found by the roadside/trailhead, but Erik has on previous hikes stumbled upon a field of apple trees from an old Apple Orchard that has been reclaimed by nature. The trailhead is very difficult to find so there will be no meeting at the event (everyone must meet at the carpool).

We'll do about an 7-9km hike at 3.5 to 4.5 km/h. There might be some rough terrain we'll take our time on, and areas were we'll stop to consume the odd apple and lunch of course. The views are spectacular. The extra driving time to get to this hike is worth it.

If time allows and the mood of the group is agreeable, Erik might take us down into the limestone caverns and rock splits that hug the cliffs of the lookouts.
