Humber Heritage Valley Trail Challenge (30 km, 6 km/h) (7/19/2014)

Itinerary:

The terrain is variable. Length of hike is 30 km, pace is 6 km/h.

Bring snacks, we will not be stopping for lunch on the trail, but afterwards will make a stop in Bolton for refreshments, at around 1:30PM.

This is a challenging "in and out" hike intended to give advanced hikers a good workout. Hikers coming on this event are expected to have D5 level experience and be able to hike 6 km/h continuously over variable terrain.. Only those who meet the criteria will be accepted on the event.

The Humber Heritage Valley Trail is an interesting little trail that runs through part of the Humber Valley. We will be going through forests, fields and wetlands.

Regular D5 level hikers and members willing to drive will get priority on the wait list.

  • Water (two litres)
  • Snacks
  • Change of footwear for after the hike

Glasgow Road winds a bit around a park on the left hand side. You are looking for the parking lot for Dick's Dam Park. This is also on the left hand side.
