Carpool drivers will be given priority from the waiting list.
Please answer the following questions in the notes during sign-up:
  • 1) Can you swim?
  • 2) Have you been to other canoe trips? If yes, when was the most recent one?
  • 3) Do you have your own canoe, or will you be sharing the rental of a canoe from the outfitters?
  • 4) If you are a carpool driver, are you ok to attach a canoe to the roof of your vehicle for transportation from the outfitter to the access point? (about 30km each way - mounting pads and straps will be provided by the outfitter and carpool costs shared by all trip participants)

Itinerary:
We will leave Toronto early Saturday morning to drive to Paddleshack at 2332 HWY#11 and pick up the Canoes.
From the outfitters, we will drive to the Big East access point of the Poker Lakes area.
There are short portages (50m to 400m) connecting some of the lakes. Pack fairly light.
We will camp Saturday night in the backcountry at Poker Lake. Sunday, we will explore more of the lakes area by paddling back through a different route to the cars.
After returning the canoes to the outfitter we will head back to Toronto in the evening.
