Itinerary:

This is a favourite Mother's Day hike for my family - this year we thought we'd invite some other moms and kids along! Feel free to bring your mom, and moms, feel free to bring your kids (this event is only appropriate for kids who are teenagers or older).

While I have great love for those who don't have their Moms around - come talk to me on Father's Day! - or who aren't living near to their family, this is an event for moms and their families in celebration of the day - please do not sign up if you're not bringing your Mom, or if you're a Mom, if you're not bringing your kids.

We will hike on the main Bruce Trail and side trails through the Pretty River Valley Provincial Park to the Osler Bluffs, passing by the highest point on the Bruce Trail (540 M above sea level)....it's not as scary as it sounds!

We will also take the side trail through the Petun Conservation Area and climb up through rock piles to the top of the escarpment! From there we'll have great views of Nottawasaga Bay!

The trilliums should be in full bloom - last year at this time the woods were carpeted in fields of white trilliums.

The hike will be 15-16k and we will hike at roughly 4k/hour. All participants, moms and kids (or other family members) should be capable of hiking this.
