Itinerary:

Date Change!

Haven't been to Bluffer's Park in years. I've also always wanted to hike back up Brimley Rd S, one of the toughest hills in Toronto. Brimley Rd along Bluffers Park is pretty steep. So let's make a morning of it, head down, explore along the bottom of bluffs then make the difficult trek out.

We'll meet inside of the Scarborough GO Station, near the ticket booth.

Route

  • Go through Natal Park
  • South along Sharpe St. and Ridgemoor Ave.
  • East along the top of the bluffs
  • Down Brimley Rd. S to Bluffer's Park
  • Explore Bluffer's Park, with time for lunch
  • Up Brimley Rd. S
    Brimley Details
    Run - 755m
    Elevation - 75m
    Ascending - North
  • North through Resthaven Memorial Gardens
  • West along St. Clair Ave. E back to Scarborough GO Station
Total Distance: 8 km without exploring the park, 11 km with exploration

Required Items to Bring:
  • Good Footwear
  • Water (1-2 litres)
  • Snacks
  • Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • Light lunch
  • Camera

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

    By Car
Scarborough GO Station is located at St. Clair Ave E and Midland Ave. There's a parking lot at the station.

    By TTC
Take the 9 or 102 bus from Warden Station
Take the 20 bus from Kennedy Station

102 Bus comes the most frequently so it's probably the best bet.

    By GO
Take the Lakeshore East train to Scarborough Station

    Notes:

Hike will go forward rain or shine

I will turn off my mobile phone once we start the event
