Itinerary:

HIKE FOR $5 PINTS

So this is one of my favourite urban hikes (especially with $5 pints of craft beer at the end!) We'll meet in front of the McDonalds at Runnymede + Bloor + follow this route:
  1. Start at Runnymede Subway Station, outside the McDonalds, which is on the north east corner of Runnymede and Bloor.
  2. South along Kennedy Ave.
  3. East to High Park via The Palisades and Valleymede Rd.
  4. South through High Park to the waterfront trail.
  5. East along the waterfront trail to the downtown core, stopping for $5 pints of craft beer and food. Please do not sign up if you are not coming to socialize afterwards!
  6. There is no point #6. (Points for creativity if you suggest something in the Notes when you sign up...)

Total Distance Covered 9 KM. Dogs are welcome but can't go into the pub.

DIFFICULTY: We will be hiking in a group at about 4.5 km/hr and everyone must stay within earshot of the group for safety reasons.
There is no telling in advance how icy, muddy or wet the trails may be, so please come prepared with icers (traction devices) and good hiking boots.
If you have poor night vision also remember a flash light. :)

NOTE... If you are new to my hikes.
Weather: hikes go ahead rain or shine, so if that's not for you, check the forecast the week before + remove yourself well in advance of the cutoff.
Food + craft beer: Yum! These often show up on or after my hikes, I'm a international beer judge and foodie. Bring extra cash just in case!
Last min dropouts: Please don't! People who sign up for loads of events + then frequently drop out may be removed. :(
Dogs are usually welcome!

NO SHOWS: Anyone cancelling after the Registration Cut Off will receive an automatic no show

MINIMUM PARTICIPANTS Unfortunately if we fall below the minimum number of participants the hike may be cancelled.
