Itinerary:

A hike with a view! Depending on snow conditions, snowshoes may be worn for portions of this hike. If bringing them, be ready to carry them for sections without enough snow depth. Snow updates will be given the week of the event.

Please ignore the maximum group size of "1" and if you see a "waiting list." I will allow up to 15 participants with previous D4 experience and reasonable attendance records depending on driver capacity. If you don't have a history with the TOC, please include some comments in the notes about your hiking experience.

This hike is suitable for intermediate to advanced hikers who like a steady faster pace. It is not suitable for beginners.

The terrain is variable, hilly with rocky, possibly snow covered sections. Distance to be covered is about 23km, with and average pace of 5km/h.

We will start at the Bruce Trail parking lot on Line 6 (KM 13 on Bruce trail map 24) and head to the Len Memorial Loree Forest, then follow the summit of the Blue Mountains to Scenic Caves Road. We will double back at this point and then cut across 18th Sideroad to 6th line and return to the cars.

Those willing to drive, regular D4 hikers, and those with good attendance records will be given preference on the waiting list
