Itinerary:

We will be doing this activity in conjunction with Jenn M's running group, and will all head up from the carpool together to Fenelon Falls.

We will access the Victoria Rail Trail near the lock (Fenelon Falls is on the Trent-Severn Waterway) and cycle to Kinmount, travelling along the shore of Cameron Lake and along the Burnt River through a forestry tract with lots of wildlife. This area is supposed to be very scenic.

We will be biking a total of about 64k. Therefore, if you sign up for this event, you must be able to cycle this distance in the heat of the summer at a fair clip. We will be stopping for lunch at about the half-way point.

If we finish in time, we can swim in the river, picnic, watch the boats go through the locks, or check out the local museum.

After both the cyclists and runners are finished, we'll all stop for some refreshment before heading back to Toronto!

Notes:
NOTE: Whether 10 cyclists can actually participate in the event is contingent on whether there are enough cars going that can take both participants and their bicycles. Therefore, if you can carry additional passengers/bicycles with your vehicle, it is important for you to make this known when you sign-up. I will try to ensure that everyone is accommodated, on a first come, first serve basis.

If you have a vehicle at your disposal but you do not have a bike rack, let me know: I may have a second bike rack that can be used on your vehicle, so as to assist in the transportation of bicycles to and from this event.
