Railpath, Cemetery & West Belt Line (10 KM) (3/2/2013)

Itinerary:

So this is probably the easiest hike in my arsenal of urban hikes, so I hope we can hike this at a slower relaxing pace on what will be a nice Saturday afternoon.

We'll start this trip outside Dundas West Subway Station. Meet inside the station entrance, by the ticket booth.

  1. East along Bloor to the West Toronto Railpath
  2. North along the West Toronto Railpath to the northern point.
  3. North of the Junction, we take a combination of side streets North to Davenport.
  4. Cross Davenport to Earlscourt Park.
  5. North through the park to St. Clair.
  6. Cross St. Clair and travel north through Prospect Cemetery to Eglinton Ave.
  7. West on Eglinton to the West end of the belt line.
  8. East along the belt line/Roselawn Rd to Allen Rd.
  9. South along Allen Rd walkway to Eglinton West Subway Station.

Following the hike, anyone is welcomed to come with me to Timothys for a coffee.

Total distance is about 10 km.

Sorry to those who would like to bring a dog. According to City of Toronto by-laws, dogs are not allowed in city cemeteries, so dogs will not be permitted.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Meet outside the Entrance to Dundas West Subway station on the Bloor Line, 6 stations west of St. George Station & 8 east of Kipling Station.

If driving, the station entrance is located on the North-West side of Bloor/Dundas.
