X-C skiing (+ snowshoeing) at Hardwood Hills (1/6/2013)

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the TOC.

You are STRONGLY encouraged to read this page in its entirety before signing up. If you'd like to attend, we ask that you abide by our rules and procedures as a time/cost saving process (with an end result of keeping membership free and lower cost events).

IMPORTANT: The subway is still closed at 8am on Sunday. Please double-check your transportation plans.

Hardwood Hills has finished grooming all of its trails, so it's time to go X-country skiing! I will also do one of the snowshoe loops in the afternoon.

We will ski in small groups according to your level and pace. You are also welcome to venture out on your own, just be sure to be back at the chalet by 4pm.
There is a chalet with food and drinks, although you can bring your own lunch.
A trail pass costs $21.50 per person and equipment rentals cost an additional $28 for a total of $49.50 per person.

For drivers…
1. How many passengers can you take with you, if you take skis and if you don’t take skis? Also, can you take skis on roof racks? - important for people with long skis.

For everyone...
2. Are you taking skis up with you? Or will you rent them?
3. If you are taking your skis, how long are they? – Please estimate if you are unsure.
4. Do you plan on snowshoeing as well? Are you bringing your own snowshoes?

We will leave Hardwood by 4:00 pm. and be back at Downsview by 5:30pm.The number of participants in the event will be determined by the number of carpool drivers.

Appropriate clothing. Layers are best
Money for trail pass, rentals and car pool
