Itinerary:
Over the last couple of years we have had a wonderful time cycling near Lake Simcoe on day trips, And so I decided to post a weekend trip riding from the Toronto area to Sibbald Point Provincial Park. We will primarily be cycling on paved roads with relatively little traffic. However, we occasionally made need to use unpaved roads and those with more traffic for short distances. Therefore to sign up you must be experienced, comfortable, and safe riding in traffic i.e. with automobiles

Because we do not have a car, we will be carrying everything on our bikes. This means that you need a bike with paniers. It also means that you should be able to ride up to 75 on two successive days with a fully loaded bike.

This is not the trip for you if you have not ridden at least a couple of 50km rides this season.

We will be meeting at Union Station at the GO Station on Saturday morning at a time to be determined later.

To cut down on food prep time and weight we will be eating in restaurants quite a bit. In any case, we plan to eat quite well on this trip. Once again you can think of it as a modified Triathlon, including cycling, swimming/wading and eating! However, the emphasis will be on cycling.

We will have a mandatory pre-meeting for this trip to be held at Aroma Espresso 2300 Yonge Street - corner of Yonge & Eglinton. on Tuesday August 21 at 7pm . At this meeting we will discuss food, who has what camping equipment (tents, stoves, etc...) and tent arrangements.

Now for some important questions: (for your own ease simply copy and paste the questions into the Notes section and type in your answers when you sign up).

If you have not ridden with me before, you MUST answer in the affirmative the following questions in the notes sections of the sign up page:
1. Do you agree to wear a bicycle helmet?
2. Are you experienced, comfortable, and safe riding in traffic i.e. with automobiles?
3. Are you able to bring a spare tube for your bicycle?
4. Does your bicycle fit you properly?
5. Is your bicycle in decent shape ie no rusty chain etc, working brakes?
