This hike will venture along a part of the Bruce trail that leads past a number of rock fissures before climbing down through the “Hole- in-the Wall” via ladders that cut through the rock fissures in the Escarpment. Then, we’ll explore the side trails passing features of that reveal the area’s history: lime kiln ovens, a restored powder magazine and the quarry. Conditions on the Bruce Trail vary - it can be rocky and uneven in places. We'll adjust our pace and route accordingly, but please also take that into account when you're planning what footwear to wear. Total distance is about 10 km, and we’ll do a steady, but leisurely pace of about 4km/hour. THIS IS CHARLENE'S FIRST EVENT AS A COORDINATOR, PLEASE ADDRESS ALL QUESTIONS TO HER.
