Itinerary:

The terrain is hilly. Length of hike is 22-25 km, pace 5 km/h. Map 9.

This hike is suitable for advanced or strong intermediate hikers. It is not suitable for beginners. Hikers coming on this event are expected to have preferably D5 level hiking experience or minimally D4 experience on the hike leader's events. Participants should have previous experience on 20+ kilometers hikes and must be able to maintain a continuous pace of 5 km/h on hilly terrain.

When we arrive at the meeting location on Woodley Lane, we will arrange a car shuttle to the start of the hike near Signal Hill.

We'll hike back on the Main Trail, with detours on the Ian Reid Side Trail and King Side Trail. Along the way we'll pass lookouts with views of Lake Ontario, Escarpment Edges, Waterdown Woods, Grindstone Creek Valley, Royal Botanical Gardens, Rock Chapel Nature Sanctuary and lots and lots of hills. This is a scenic and challenging hike.

Those willing to drive and regular D5 hikers will get priority on the waiting list.
