SATURDAY AM HIKE

Rescheduling from March 24. This time we will ignore weather forecasters and just go have fun... First priority will go to everyone who was on the original hike.

This is a lovely Saturday morning walk through East York and Lawrence Park. It's about 13 km.

We'll start at Victoria Park Subway Station.

Depart Victoria Park Subway Station
Travel through Taylor Creek Park
North through the Don Valley Trail to Sunnybrook Park
West through Sunnybrook, Sherwood Park & Bythwood Ravine
End at Lawrence Station

Total distance traveled = ~13 Km

The trail may be muddy and wet in places so wear proper footwear that's waterproof. We will walk at a decent pace of 4.5-5.0 km per hour along a paved path so be prepared to stick with the group. (No racing ahead as I won't be chasing after anyone who gets lost). Dogs are welcome.

DIFFICULTY: I'm not a speed hiker and will be leading this at about 4.5-5.0 km/hr. Please don't sign up if you want to go faster.

No Shows: If you can't make it please remove yourself from the event by the cutoff time. Anyone cancelling after that may receive a No Show.

WAITING LIST: If you are a new member I will try to get you on an event. Otherwise, to help make the waiting list fair to everyone I will give priority to people who regularly show up when they sign up.

Required Items to Bring:

Good footwear

Water 1-2 L and snacks

Appropriate clothing for the weather (baselayer, mid layer fleece, wind/water resistant shell). No jeans or cotton please!
