Itinerary:

So this is a hike I've wanted to do for a while. Dundas Valley is one of the nicest places on the Niagara Escarpment.

This is an intermediate hike that involves some hills, uneven terrain and probably some muddy areas.

We will hike at a pace of 4.5-5.5 km per hour.

On the trail we'll be following part of the Bruce Trail, amongst several other trails throughout the valley for an 19 KM loop.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water. We will find a place to stop for lunch @ the halfway point, but there will not be any drop offs.

DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE WRITE IN THE NOTES SECTION, THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!

If you cannot walk the entire distance, please do not sign up for this hike.

NOTE: THE CARPOOL DEPARTURE TIME FROM DOWNSVIEW IS 8:00 AM

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From Downsview

  1. Exit station out to the Allen Road.
  2. Left onto Allen Road to the 401
  3. Take the 401 WEST (Make sure to get on the express lanes, because there is construction in the collector lanes.)
  4. Exit at the Highway 403 - Follow the 403 for the next 60 km.
  5. Take exit 64 toward Rousseaux Street (NOTE: Rousseaux turns into Mohawk Rd, so don't get confused)
  6. At the first traffic light, take a right onto Filman Road.
  7. Follow Filman Road all the way to the end and look for a parking space.
