Itinerary:
So last year I did my first hike with TOC (pretty much my first hike ever) at the Hilton fall side trail. It was tough but I was ever since hooked to hiking. Now it’s time to revisit the trail.

The hike is 22km in total, and it is typical Bruce trail. Most of trail will be in the woods, with some hills to climb, the views are pretty good at high points. I remember some area gets pretty muddy, which always add some extra fun. We will get to this steel quarry bridge around lunch time, the bridge is pretty high off the ground, and it does test your nerve a bit. We can have lunch there if needed. Later in the afternoon we will get to Hilton fall, we can stop there for quick refresh. You can find the trail on page 11 of Bruce trail guide book.
We will be hiking at a solid pace of 4 – 4.5 km per hour, this is a moderate pace and we don’t want to go any slower than this (bugs!!). Participants should ensure that they can hike at this pace before joining us. Previous D3 – D4 hikes will do. If you haven’t done any hikes with TOC before, please write in the note section when signing up how much hiking experience you have. There won’t be any drop-offs.

We will complete the Hilton side trail (15km), and a section of the main Bruce trail (7km) to form a loop.

Hiking shoes are required. The event will go on rain or shine, but bring change of cloth for the cars if forecast calls for rain.
