I've never been or done a hike at Scottsdale Farm, so let's go.

This is an intermediate hike that involves some hills, uneven terrain and probably some muddy areas.

We will hike at a pace of 4.0-4.5 km per hour.

No steep climbs but quite a bit of walking up and down hills with a couple fence ladders to climb over.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water. We will stop for breaks to enjoy the countryside, but there will not be any drop offs.

Total Distance 16.5 km

If you cannot walk the entire distance, please do not sign up for this hike.

We'll all meet at the park and ride area. When we decide whose vehicles will be taken, we'll drive over to the TTC lot (free on weekends) and leave any extra vehicles there.

For this hike, there will be no traveling to the event. Please meet at the carpool location. If you can't do this, please do not sign up for this hike.

After the hike, we'll see if anyone wants to go for dinner or a drink before heading back to the city.

Event Directions: Leaving Downsview - take the Allen Road south to the 401.

-Travel west along the 401 to Trafalgar Rd. Travel, which is approximately 35 km. Trafalgar Rd is exit #328. Regional Rd #3.

Travel north on Trafalgar for approximately 13 km.

NOTE: At one point, Trafalgar Rd merges with #7. At traffic light, turn left and watch for signs indicating the restart of Trafalgar Rd. Turn off will be on the right.

Travel north on Trafalgar Road north past Hwy 7 for about 2 kms.

LOOK FOR PARK ENTRANCE ON RIGHT - Should have a white sign, pointing the way to the 'Scotsdale Farm Reception Centre.'
