Itinerary:

Thanks to global warming, we haven't had much of a winter camping season. That is unless you have been lucky enough to backpack around Algonquin or Frontenac...But that's awfully hardcore for many of us. And it's awkward carrying that 4L box of wine your backpack!!!

March may come in like a lion, but there's generally some snow around by the end of February - lets hope that there's enough to enjoy the toboggan hill and the x-country ski runs. In any case, the Pinery was practically empty this time around and we had the place to ourselves. This time around, I'm going to keep the numbers down to a reasonable amount so this event will only be open to people who have camped before . It doesn't necessarily need to have been winter camping, or camping with the TOC, but you'll need to have the basics - a good sleeping bag, an understanding of what food to bring, and how to prepare it - whether by fire or by stove - and enough camping gear to get through two days of outdoor living.

Tents and stoves are not required, but let me know in the notes area if you've got them to share, or you'll need a tent. I'll make the arrangements for carpools as we get closer to the date.

Priority will be given to members who have previous camping experience and who plan to attend both nights Also, reservations have not been made, if there is a long waiting list another volunteer may decide to take up an extra group, however I will not take responsibility for more than 12 people!!
