Itinerary:
Hot Chocolate Hike

We'll be hiking in the Rouge Valley, Toronto East.

Route: We're going to start at the Conservation Centre and hike along the Vista trail to the Mast trail, and continue south to the Glen Rouge campgrounds. Then we'll return to the cars along the Riverside, Mast and Orchard trails.
Approximate hiking distance: 9 km.

Hot Chocolate: when we reach the campgrounds at our halfway point, we're going to find a site (which are all vacant this time of year) where we can break out my jetboil and make fresh hot chocolate with biscotti, and have our lunch/snacks.
I will be bringing homemade hot chocolate mix which contains skim milk powder, cocoa and sugar, and maybe some warm spices like cinnamon/ginger. If you would prefer soy milk then let me know in the Notes so that I can accommodate.
And finally, I *might* stash some firewood ahead of time so that we can get a little fire going during lunch. That is not for sure, however, and since we will be stopping for a while for lunch, make sure you have layers on that you will be warm enough.
Consider bringing a foam pad to sit on as well!

Depending on conditions, snowshoes or icers may be useful, but are not available for rent at the centre, so you need to bring your own.
