Intro to Indoor Rock Climbing @ Rock Oasis for beginners! (1/26/2011)

Itinerary:
Darker days.. colder days... depressing ??? not when you are climbing !!! lets get together and have some fun & while trying to keep fit.

We shall meet 5 mins before the start of the event by the registration desk. If your details aren't in their system, you would have to give a belay test. The cost is $35 per person all inclusive (lesson on the basics, equipment and climbing time). Check out the website Rock Oasis for more details.

What should I wear?

Wear loose gym clothing. For example sweat pants, tights or shorts and a T-shirt. In the winter, a sweater or sweat shirt is helpful. Please bring thin socks for the climbing shoes.

How old does one need to be to climb? All ages can climb. We have members from age 4 to age 70.

Do I have to be very strong to climb? If you can climb a ladder you can climb our easy walls. We have routes of varying difficulty from very easy to next-to-impossible.

Is there parking at The Rock Oasis? There are a few parking spots directly in front of The Rock Oasis. There is free parking on the west side of Bathurst except between 4pm and 6pm on weekdays. Other parking can be found on side streets in the neighborhood. There is a Green P parking lot on the corner of Front and Portland (one block east of Front and Bathurst).

Notes:
There are lockers to store your belongings in the change room. Please bring your own combination lock for them.
- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the TOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with full refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where TOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refund of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in TOC events.
