Holiday Hilton Falls Loop (8/2/2010)

Itinerary:

Alright, I'm going to let you take me hiking. Just make sure I'm back before frisbee in the evening, or my dad (er.. team captain) will be angry.

There have been a couple of Hilton Falls hikes so far this year, but you know, I've never gone. This is our chance, as a group, to fix that for me. (As opposed to fixing me. Outside the scope of this event.)

We are going to do what looks to be a fairly standard 21.3km route along the Niagara Escarpment, looping back along the Hilton Falls Side Trail - in the process seeing the falls themselves. I'm looking for a fairly fast hike today: a 4.5-5kph pace. Please keep this in mind before signing up, we're going to be pushing ourselves quickly and steadily throughout the day. (Of course we'll stop to admire the falls though!)

If you've not equivalent experience with the club, that's fine. But please let me know in the 'Notes' section your experience and comfort outside of the club. This works best when we're all moving together :)

All volunteers to chaperone me (don't leave me alone with those Falls!) are greatly appreciated.

Lastly, I've always been greatly swayed by the tyranny of the majority. If we've people interested in catching a drink or bite to eat at the end in Milton, that may be possible. Let's see :)
