Bike and Swim in Southwest Toronto (6/20/2010)

Itinerary:
From Old Mill station we will ride south and then head west on Waterfront trail to Marie Curtis Park.

On the way we will stop at Tim Hortons where you can get your favorite drink and/or snack.

Marie Curtis Park has a beach. You can just enjoy the sand or go for a swim!

After hanging around for a while we will head back to Royal York Subway Station.

Pace will be relaxed. If you need to drop out there are TTC bus stops along the way.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

  • TTC:
    1. Take the Bloor line to Old Mill station.
    2. Come outside the front entrance, and gather just to the right of the doors.
  • Car from 401:
    1. Exit at Islington Ave.
    2. Travel south to Bloor St. W.
    3. Turn left (east) on Bloor St. W.
    4. Continue along Bloor St. W. to Old Mill Trail (about the 7th traffic light).
    5. Turn left on Old Mill Trail (at Old Mill subway station/formerly Humber Blvd.)
  • Car from QEW (eastbound):
    1. Exit at Islington Ave.
    2. Travel north to Bloor St. W.
    3. Turn right (east) on Bloor St. W.
    4. Follow Bloor St. to Old Mill Trail (at Old Mill subway station/formerly Humber Blvd.)
    5. Turn left on Old Mill Trail.
  • Car from Gardiner (westbound):
    1. Exit at South Kingsway and continue north to Bloor St. W.
    2. Turn left (west) on Bloor St. W., and cross the Humber River Bridge.
    3. Turn right on Old Mill Trail (at Old Mill subway station/formerly Humber Blvd.)
