Itinerary:
Did you ever wonder why the hell there are almost NO OFF-ROAD Triathlon events in Ontario? It is about to change this summer although I can not believe it has taken so long to have an off road race in South Central Ontario considering the success of Xterra in the U.S.

'Mine' Over Matter

On August 22nd, Milton will play host to one of the few off-road triathlon/duathlon events that Ontario has to offer.

The swim will take place in the spring-fed, baby blue waters of the Kelso Quarry. The bike portion of this race will take place within Kelso Conservation Area - home to some of the areas best mountain bike trails, while the run will follow along various niagara escarpment trails!

There are three races to choose from. 1)A triathlon -1 k swim,18 km bike & 7.5km run, 2)A mini triathlon -500 m swim,7k bike & 4 k run 3)A duathlon - 3 k run, 18 k bike & 7.5 km run.

Organizers hope that the success of this race will result in more races in 2011 and a possible small off -road race series.

I have already signed up for the triathlon. If you are interested please participate & encourage the event organizers so that we can have more such events in Ontario.

NOTE: 1) When you signup, indicate which race are you participating in. You will have to signup for the event yourself at Online Registration Once registered drop me a mail about your race registration.
2) Depending on the participation, carpool can also be arranged at different locations on TTC line
3) If you are driving, please answer below questions when you signup
a)Please mention how many bikes & people can you accommodate in your vehicle
b)Which carpooling area would be convenient for you [Downsview or Union station]
After the race we will meetup at the registration tent area.
