Itinerary:

We will join the Bruce Trail at Noisy River Provincial Reserve, starting at the corner of Conc. Rd. 10 South and Garden of Eden Road (Bruce Trail Map 21) and hike up through Nottawasaga Bluffs Conservation Area, to the parking lot on 15/16 Sideroad Nottawasaga, just east of Conc. Rd. 10 South (Bruce Trail Map 22), a distance of about 15 km. The terrain will be variable on the trail, and possibly slippery. We’ll stop for lunch when folks get hungry, hopefully coincident with a picturesque spot on the trail.

Note that this hike will be at an average pace of at least 4kph, and will also involve an end-to-end car shuttle so there can be no dropouts. Bring an extra layer to wear at the end of the day while waiting for the drivers to retrieve the cars.

Hiking boots or shoes with good ankle support are required.

After the hike, we'll go to the Mono Cliffs Inn, Peter Cellar’s Pub, for a drink and a bite to eat. It is likely that we won’t be back in Toronto much before 8 pm.

If you have questions, please contact Anita (416) 531-5556 (this is not a mobile, so it will not be answered the morning of the event).
