Beach Cleanup (3/28/2010)

Itinerary:

Spring is here and that means beach weather is fast approaching. A sandy beach is nice, a clean sandy beach is even nicer.

We'll be making Toronto better by volunteering with Centre 55 to help clean up a section of beach. Light refreshments will be provided as will gloves and garbage bags.

This cleanup will proceed rain or shine so only sign up if you're serious about helping out.

Meet outside the Toronto Public library Beach Branch at 2161 Queen Street East. Then we'll head to our cleanup spot.

Note: I will have a very limited number of 2010 Toronto Outdoor Club patches available this event. They're $20 and cover all your voluntary donations for the year.

Required Items to Bring:

Weather appropriate clothing.

Recommended Items to Bring:

Work gloves, garbage bags, a homemade garbage stick.
