Winter Hike: High Park/Humber Bay Park (3/3/2010)

Itinerary:
We will explore some trails in High Park before heading over to Humber Bay Park. After getting a nice view of TO from Humber Bay Park, we will head back to the starting point quickly. There will be no definite route, so be adventurous! This hike will be done at a steady pace of 4-4.5 to keep us warm. It can be slushy or icy, so please be sure to have good footwear and be extreme carefull with the ice. If you’d like to drop off mid-way, simply let the coordinator know or leave a voice mail.

IMPORTANT: Please sign-un for this event ONLY if you are a WEATHER-Proof hiker. This event will run under the sun, the rain, the snow or the cold wind. You must have a 100% commitment of assisting this event regardless of weather conditions.

  • water/hot drink in a thermos

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Traveling by subway you get of at the High Park Subway station on the Bloor line. Go to High park avenue and turn right(south). Cross Bloor and enter park I will be there around the Map.

Traveling by car going east bound on QEW get off at Lakeshore and turn north on Parkside Drive. Traveling west on QEW/Gardiner get of at Dunn ave and Turn north on Parkside Drive. Follow Parkside to Bloor and turn Left(west) to the next set of lights and turn left into the High Park. There is some parking just inside the park find a spot and walk back to entrance.
