Itinerary:

Let's go hiking, why not?

Forks of the Credit is a pretty hike, and it's been a while since I've gone. They also have a nice waterfall. (Okay, the map calls it a 'hydro station'. Whatever.) We'll also touch into Belfountain and back.

We'll be aiming at doing between 16 and 18km and moving at 4 - 4.5 kph depending on the terrain (snow, slipperyness, what not...)

Crampons are a good idea if you have them, as it may be slippery. Snow I don't think will be a big deterrent for hiking with little fresh snow and given that the Forks is a popular hiking trail it should all be beaten pretty flat. (I think...) You can bring snowshoes if you like of course though.

The weather looks like it's going to be very mild and beautiful, with the possibility of some minor wetness.

Note: The carpool meets before subway service starts, so if you're using the TTC look to the bus. If you're on the west-middle-ish end of TO, and ask me, I may swing by for you though ;)

P.S.> I'm not sure why I love early start times as I love sleep better <3 However, in deference to all the hard looks I get, the Carpool will be meeting at a lazy, lazy 8:15.

FAQ: "Andrew, what do you have against cross country skiing?" Uhm... nothing. I'm just shy, not having run a skiing event before. Maybe next time.
