Itinerary:

It's the holidays and (my parents having tired of me) I'm back in the city but still feeling indulgent (or indolent, or perhaps both). It was a tough decision between this and The Imaginarium of Dr. P, but we're leaning towards 'light and fluffy' for the evening.

If you're interested, come see it with us -- TOC Coordinator-On Sabbatical Justin will be chaperoning the event, on furlough from CFB Shearwater.

Here's the skinny on the movie:

"After finally catching serial killer and occult "sorcerer" Lord Blackwood, legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson can close yet another successful case. But when Blackwood mysteriously returns from the grave and resumes his killing spree, Holmes must take up the hunt once again. Contending with his partner's new fiancée and the dimwitted head of Scotland Yard, the dauntless detective must unravel the clues that will lead him into a twisted web of murder, deceit, and black magic - and the deadly embrace of temptress Irene Adler."

See the moderately positive reviews of individuals at IMDB, or see a summary of moderately positive professional reviews at RottenTomatoes.

Apparently it's much more actiony than Sherlock purists would prefer, but hopefully it will be fun ;)

We may have a bit of a snack or a drink directly after to reflect on the movie somewhere nearby for anyone who's interested.
