Not enough events in the Calendar? Are you tired to be on the waiting list forever? This is your opportunity, step forward and become a TOC event coordinator.

Do not ask what events TOC could post for you, ask yourself what events you would post for TOC.

You will learn on the field how to lead a TOC event (a D3 snowshoeing).

We will be snowshoeing around 8Kms on the Horse Shoe Valley resort. The pace will be between 3 – 3.5km/h. The resort has a limited capacity for snowshoes rental, so it is better to bring your owns or rent in Toronto.

We will stop frequently to share some tips about the event coordinator job. We will simulated a couple of interesting situations (based on real life situations on previous TOC events).

After the enjoying the snow we will sit on the XC Skiing chalet, where we will review all the details about being a TOC volunteer while enjoying a hot chocolate / tea.

Requirements: you must have at least two outdoors/active events and no no-shows to attend to this event. When subscribing to the event, please indicate on the Notes field why you want to become a volunteer? And what kind of events are you interested on posting?

Although there is not a formal obligation after this event; we are really expecting that you become a volunteer. If you are just ONLY interested on snowshoeing, please do not sign-on, this is not going to be the right event for you.

Current volunteers and volunteer candidates are welcome to join the event.

There will not be clock-pressure in this event; if you need to be back to Toronto at certain hour, please do not sign-up for this event. We will be in a relaxed no-clock-pressure trip. Do not make plans for the evening.

Please sign-un for this event ONLY if you are a WEATHER-Proof person. This event will run under the freezing -26C or below. You must have a 100% commitment of assisting this event regardless of weather conditions

You are supposed to act as an Event Coordinator, so please bring anything you believe a Volunteer Coordinator should have with him/her during an event.
