Itinerary:

Is your resolution for this year not to procrastinate?

Get your hiking for 2010 out of the way now! Don't put it off any longer, be the most proactive hiker on your block.

Here we've a relaxed, hangover ready hike.

While so far we've had (relatively) mild weather, know that New Year's day could see us knee-deep in snow and marching through a howling wind. Please keep this in mind when you sign up: this isn't a fair weather event. It's a hike. In January. :) Sign up if you can be pretty sure you'll come regardless of your egg nog levels and snow.

Our target is Silvercreek and Scotsdale farm. I haven't finalized the route we're to do yet, but we'll pick something around 15km long, and look to hike at 3.5-4kph, though this may depend on how much snow we're dealing with. I am going to attempt to keep this fairly gentle, but do expect to spend 4-5 hours hiking.

Everyone (depending on snow conditions) is required to make snow balls and snow angels. (You may not actually be required to.)

P.S.> I _never_ make new year's resolutions: Ew. (This also may be why I never improve, it's an untested theory.)

P.P.S.> Bring your snowshoes if you'd like. Just know that 4 chances out of 5 we'll be able to outpace you with boots while producing muffled snickers ;) If you get that one though, you are fully deserving of running circles around me while I wade forlornly through snow drifts.

Post P.P.S.> A new year means everyone needs a new waiver. Bring your own if you can!
