Itinerary:

Are you ready for an Adventure?

Are you ready for BIG WHITE WATER in the spring time?

Join me on full 2 day white water rafting trip down the might Ottawa river in spring time. From the gleam of fast-moving clear-water, to the rumble and sudden rush and tumble of rapid action -- this is your chance to get in on the ‘current' sensation. We will be running down the legendary 12 km ‘Rocher Fendu' rapids of the Ottawa River . We will be one of the first groups to go down the river at the start of the 2010 season. The water will be very BIG and very cold, but you all will be fitted in wetsuits and all the gear needed to stay a float and reasonably warm.

The Plan.

Saturday We will drive from Toronto to Forester's Falls, Ontario (home of Owl Rafting). Along the way we will stop for lunch at a local establishment. We should arrive at Owl rafting by late afternoon, where we will divide up into 6 people per cabin. We get full use of the facilities equipment (canoes, kayaks, fireplace, lounge, etc.). A steak supper is included.

Sunday We start with a good breakfast and then get a safety briefing. Next, we get outfitted with all the gear required for our adventure. On to our bus, where we get shuttled to the top of the river run. On this first day on the water we will all be together on a 12 man raft. We will run a series of rapids and then stop for a shoreline snack around noon. Back on the water we’ll finish off the remaining rapids. We’ll be treated to a BBQ late lunch on our boat ride back to OWL resort. Supper will be provide and a video of our first day highlights will be viewed for a good laugh or two. Get a good night sleep and get ready for Mondays adventure.

Monday Breakfast, gear, bus….. No it’s not ground hog day, all over again. Some of us are looking for a “little” more challenge while some of us just want to push the envelop to the "max". Day 2 on the water, brings 7 people sport raft plus the rest on 2 man sportyaks. The 7 person raft (you might wipe out) is not as forgiving as the 12 man raft(fairly stable). The sport kayaks are on the edge (you will wipe out). We end our day on the water with a BBQ lunch and back to Owl. Pack up and drive back to Toronto rounds off the day. Stopping on the highway for supper.

This event is on a first pay basics.

People on the waiting list that pay will be given priority after the payment cut off date.

The event coordinator reserves the right to remove a member who does not have the proper gear for this event and will return their payment in full.
