Itinerary:

We'll meet outside the Main Street exit of the Main Subway Station (Bloor-Danforth line). From there, we'll cycle over to Taylor Creek ravine and follow it down to its junction with the Don Valley. We'll then turn north and visit Edward Gardens following which we'll head south down the Don Valley to the lakeshore path (aka Martin Goodman Trail) . . . then east on that to the Leslie Street spit where we could, if there's time and inclination, cycle out to the end and back. The chief goal of the day, however, is to cycle all the way east on the trail through the Beaches to the end of the boardwark at the Harris filtration plant. After that, we'll ride north up Southwood to our starting point, the Main Street subway station.

Make sure to bring water and a lunch as there aren't too many places along this route to buy food. We'll stop and eat along the way, of course, probably more than once. The trip is not a race ie. you don't need to be Lance Armstrong to sign up, but it would be good if you could keep up at a reasonable clip.

THIS TRIP WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN OR SHINE.

No, you don't have to cycle THE WHOLE WAY with the group. Drop-outs are allowed, just let the organizer know about it when you decide to go your own way.

Required Items to Bring:
Bike helmet, water, lunch, rain gear (read above comment about RAIN OR SHINE).
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Bike repair kit (esp. tire repair stuff), air pump if you've got one, some first aid supplies (yes, the organizer will bring a kit, but it's always good to have some bandaids, etc. of your own....)
